GALLICOOP Co. Ltd. - situated on the outskirts of Szarvas - comprises the largest closed system turkey producing integration in Eastern Hungary. The plant is relatively young; it was established in 1990 as a green field investment.
GALLICOOP Co. Ltd. produces 25 % of the total Hungarian turkey production. That is the slaughtering and processing of 28,000 thousand tons of livestock. The annual net return from sales of the corporation is € 67 million. The slaughtering plant currently processes 8,000 - 12,000 turkeys per day. There are 650 people directly employed, and additionally the corporation provides jobs indirectly for more than a thousand people on turkey growing farms.

Our wide range of products including fresh, frozen and vacuum-packed turkey meat; as well as smoked, cooked and ready to eat turkey products are distributed to domestic and export markets. GALLICOOP products are purchased by wholesalers, retailers and by chain stores. The total sales of raw and further processed turkey products is made up of 60% domestic sales and 40% export sales. With the increase in production of further processed products - aiming to provide the best value - we also focus on research and development which are all important business policies.

Our further processing plant expands with its range of turkey products according to market requirements. In order to achieve this we make sure that our company develops continuously and we launch and test new products and flavours regularly. Our main goal is to have a market oriented company management. The objective of the corporation is: to create and produce fresh marketable products and to be innovative.
